Lo people :)

Just ordered my antec 900.. to replace my very good quality but somewhat inappropriate jeantech titan. Just wondering what will the cpu temp difference be like? And therefore, is my AF7 the best heatsink about still? Or is there something better that will keep my cpu temps lower than 49 on full load?

ty :p

ttower 120 nuff said got that in my antec 900 got mine clocked to 3.6ghz and temps 35idel and full load 59'c
E8400 @ stock will be about 40'c full load

You'll get suggestions of:

Thermaltake BigTyp VX
Theramlright Ultra 120 Extreme
Tuniq Tower 120
Noctua NH-U12P
Zalman CNPS9700-LED

They are all marvellous coolers, and probably all operate within a few degrees of each other given the right conditions and right fan selections.

Awesome. How quiet is the tuniq tower with the supplied fan? And how easily can you swap out the provided fan if its a bit on the noisy side? Don't think I'll miss the extra blue glow.. When citylink eventually turn up I'll have my 900 complete with more ccfls than you can shake a stick at :D

The fan is really easy to change in it. If i remember right it comes with the bracket for the fan in the middle half screwed in so it is easy to unscrew and change the fan. Once unscrewed it is a case of taking old fan out and new fan in :)

why do you feel the need to go lower than 49 degrees under load?

unless you're planning on pushing your chip further, there's no need to spend on better cooling.

Another TT120 owner here. Just changed to the 900 from an (ok but too small) sonata3. All fans left at low, moderate performance bump on a Q9450 and everythings still nice and cool.
