Best heatsink?

For AMD its just push on. There is a bracket supplied for Intel mounting. There is no backplate needed. I am not actually familiar with AMD board though.

Like I said, it was made for AMD and then intel accessories were included.

AMD uses a bracket with like clip things, and are a pain in the ass to fit last time I built a AMD system there was a lot of blood involved damm heatsink and case cut me quite badly and it took me hours to get it one lol, saying that it won't come off in a hurry

Sounds like its a damn sight harder to fit an AMD heatsink as opposed to the Intel heatsink options. One reason I went to the i7 side of things, although the performance increase is what swayed me

Amd heatsinks are a piece of wotsit infact ive heard of a lot more problems with fitting a heatsink to an Intel than to an AMD

Intel heatsinks are not that bad to install, then in saying this I got mine with a new machine, so of course I can say that

Some of them are. Pushpin mounting = worst thing ever.

Pushpin always sounds so awkward, and not very stable either, thinking of all the pressue put on your mobo without any secure mounting clips to securely fasten in place
