I just wanted to ask what the best keyboard & mouse combo would be? I have had an ageing set and need it replaced to the 21st century now.

I really want the best of both sides, Logitech looks like they pretty much dominate the market in this sector. I was thinking of either the "Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution" or the "Dinovo Desktop v2.0" either of those look like the best for me, but if there are any others please let me know, either here or via PM. I like both as they are the laptop style keys, which I prefer as I dont like the normal "clicky" keys, if you know what I mean.

I'm using the G15 Rev 2 and a Razer Copperhead. The keyboard is great although corded, the mouse I don't like too much though.

logitech illuminated keyboard might be corded but its great:D and a MX518 mouse or G5 both logitech aswell:D

I agree, although I would pair the logitech illuminated keyboard with the MX Revolution for optimal browsing & application use.

great thing about logitech software is that it allows customisation of keys and buttons in a single interface.

MX518 for gaming!

To lessen the Logitech fanboyism in this thread :P

Razer Lachesis/Death Adder/Mamba (if you can afford it) are all amazing also the Microsoft Razer Habu

Razer Lycosa keyboard is great, I got mine a week ago and I love it.

Always found Logitech stuff a bit tacky and Razer to be more stylish, but then I'm a Razer fanboy so what can you expect

Logitech Tacky?? Give me a break, You've obviously never come across the dinovo edge then :p

The dinovo edge would be mine if it wasnt for the loss of the numpad, which is something I would be needing when I purchase my setup really, I dont like having a keyboard without that numpad present.

Obviously the keyboard & mouse combo is cheaper, but maybe I need to start opening my mind to buying the 2 separate to make sure I have the ultimate in quality and style?

Maybe link me or upload the pics, although it would only be the linking to the OC store and nowhere else, due to the obvious reasons

I think I have found my ideal mouse now that im going 2 separate ways, and that is the Razor Blue 4200dpi Mouse, which is slightly cheaper than the Logitech MX Revolution.

Now its down to the keyboard, and im tied, again, towards either the Logitech or the Razor, and they are both so very nice, but it narrows it down when I ask for those laptop type flat keys.

I think it might be down to the Logitech illumimated keyboard, or the Razer Lycosa 'Mirror Special Edition' Keyboard, both are dead gorgeous in looks and just my style!

I really like my Lycosa keyboard when the software isn't being buggy. On occasion, some keys will just stop repeating (when you press and hold a key down) and the media control panel will stop working. Sometimes my profile will become stuck as well (I use various profiles for photoshop and whatnot). It's not that much of a pain to replug the keyboard in but it's damn annoying when I'm doing something.

I'll be switching to the G19 once it's released and the price comes down a bit. Loved my Rev1 G15.

Will also add that Razer Warranty is a joke.
A few of my keys have the finish wearing off them (keyboard is less than 6 months old) so when I contacted support, they told me to go to the retailer for an exchange. I got one of the last US layout boards in the UK and nobody has them anymore so I'm either stuck with worn keys or a UK layout board which I don't want.

Even though you've already made your choice, just thought I'd put in a positive word for the Logitech MX5500. had mine for quite a while now and it's excellent, very responsive for gaming too.

I think I have found my ultimate keyboard and mouse now, which I have just ordered. Tell me what you think guys, both are available from here so I can use direct links.

Well as I suggested both (go me) I'm going to say good choice, you'll deffinetly enjoy them.

Oh one thing, the Lycosa is a finger print magnet so you may want to have a rag or something around to wipe it with occasionly, this is only the surface and not the keys though so shouldn't be a massive problem.

I must admit that I was on the edge of ordering a Logitech setup, but then when you suggested about Razer, I had a look around and saw just how stylish and good quality they were, very pleasing to the eye, and also for the mouse it looks very chunky, just right for my massive hand ;)

Although why the Razor Mamba is over £100 I will never know
