OK, I've decided to see mavity in full IMAX 3D.

Can anyone recommend an IMAX screen in London. Ideally easy to get to etc...

BFI IMAX Southbank.

Aside from being the biggest screen in the country, its one of few true IMAX screens.

Only trouble you will find is that it can be tricky getting tickets around big releases, especially at prime times. Its also worth going for the premium seats as they are in the optimal viewing position.

The one in the middle of the roundabout, 3 double decker buses high and you sit suspended out into the screen.

Might be the south bank one not sure been a while since I've been

How do you book seats? I've just spent 10mins googling around, and can find nothing like a simple method of booking?

Yes, that is the BFI Southbank (Waterloo) you are describing.

Odeon were granted to run the booking system and operation of the cinema for BFI last summer. You can book it through Odeon like any other film, just choose it from the drop down list.

Thanks... Just need mavity to become available now...

Going to be an expensive viewing at over £20 a ticket!

BFI Imax (now run by Odeon) is the best in the country probably (it's certainly the biggest) (it's the one everyone above has recommended with slightly different names).

Well worth a visit.

Highly recommend going to the BFI Imax - saw The Dark Knight Rises there and it was something else!

Not seen a 3D showing there but then I'm not bothered about 3D at all - Imax screens are the way forward - will have to look into seeing mavity there!

I've been to the Waterloo IMAX (the one on the roundabout) and if you've never been before you will be blown away by the size of the screen. I honestly couldn't believe how big it was. Everyone has to experience IMAX at least once :D

If you go to the BFI IMAX and manage to watch the 'tech demo' and the 3D 10 - 1 countdown without your heart racing I'll be amazed.

All the big films I take a day off from work, take the train to London and go and see it there. Always a fantastic experience, and because it's so expensive and you have to book in advance nobody is in there chatting or playing with their phone, you're all watching the film!
