Best internet adaptor

I have recently moved house and for some reason my powerline adaptors have stopped working (not sure if this is the adaptors or the house).

I am buying a new gaming build and I am going to get either a wireless card or a USB adaptor as my router is downstairs. Can people please advise me of the best solution for connecting to the internet for gaming.

I currently have this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-023-TP

but some setting in my computer wont allow access to the net rendering it useless, its is a fantastic wireless adaptor when i had access and it still works perfectly with excellent wireless connection and no dropout.

i was actually about to buy a powerline as my computer works via ethernet but i'm a bit worried now you've said that yours has stopped working.

Thats difficult to do over 2 floors in a rented house...

I've got powerlines and they work fine, though as he mentioned it all depends on the electrical wiring in your house. The internal speed is registering at 330mbps on mine.
