Hi guys,

Hoping for some advice on the best security suite to use. I ideally want something that doesn't hog resource but gives the best security I can achieve on my PCs.

So far I've been researching ZoneAlarm Suite and Kaspersky Suite 2009 but not sure which is better overall and less demanding.

Thanks

Andy

Hmm, haven't seen this question lately...

NOD32 is very good (best detection/performance ratio), as is Kaspersky (best detection engine). Personally I prefer NOD32 but each to their own...

I recently tried kaspersky and went back to nod32 after a day since I just didnt get on with it and I much preferred how lightweight nod is.

Well it's not really... but it's probably the best of the freebies. I had a lot of problems with Comodo though over the space of a year... but that was a couple of years back mind.

The new Comodo Firewall is pretty solid. I did try their all-in-one solution a year or so ago, but the AV component was pretty crappy at the time.

I personally use Comodo Firewall and ClamAV, but wouldn't recommend that for anyone asking the question "what AV do I need" as it doesn't have a real-time scanner on.

im trialling nod32 atm, and im liking it a lot, just wish it wasnt so pricey compared to how much i can get kapersky for

trialled kapersky previously and wasnt that keen on it (although it is good)
