Best Iphone 4 deal

Just a bit of an update with Tesco..

I popped in to my local Tesco Extra last night, and asked about the iPhone 4. They said that they'd be having some in each week and they're slowly working their way through the names on a waiting list.

They asked if I wanted to be put on the list, to which I replied "OK". Upon her opening a long word document I could see they only had 14 names down for the 32GB model, so it does look like they're getting regular stock in. I used to work at this particular store so knew the girl serving me, and would know if she was just BS'ing me regarding the stock.

However.. when I was out and about today I swung by another Tesco Extra and asked about the iPhone 4.. they said they had some in stock, but no SIM cards so they couldn't sell the phone. Sounds like the worst excuse ever, but whatever :confused:

Put my name down on that waiting list too, and I was number 70.. so it's worth checking around if you're going to the supermarkets.
 
that is what has been happening.... not just random excuses, the sim cards have been going missing so stock has been sent back a few times in my local (i know the manager).
 
i think its odd but true... i got one from vodafone yesterday 16gb payt for one of my kids and its #480 but you have to have a payt sim with it or cant have it..

i use sim only contract and have vodafone 20 a month i get 900 mins unlimited text and 1gb internet.. but its actually business hence 20 i think it shop for private it 25 a month.. its 5 pound cheaper if you take it as a 12 month contract than in store which is a rolling month contract etc..
 
I get my iphone 4 today from tesco hopefully after 3 weeks of waiting.

How does one go about swappiong from a 3g on 02 to the new tesco one. I dont want to keep my number or anything, just want my contacts/apps to now be on the iphone 4.

Do I just sign out of the 3g then connect and log into tthe 4 and it restores my contacts/apps to the new phone?

Just do a back up of your iPhone 3g using iTunes then plug in your iPhone 4 and setup the phone from that backup. ;)
 
YAY I am now the proud owner of a shiney new iphone 4. It's soo shiney, I cant stop looking at it......

In fairness to Tesco they were really quick setting it all up, would've been faster had the girl doing mine not needed constant supervision but hey ho we all have to learn.

Another quick question, can I set up the iphone 4 and use the 3g for a couple more weeks. Gonna take the 3g abroad with me. But would be nice to have my apps and contacts on the iphone 4 for a play about.

Also does anyoen know how to set it up on 02 to forward the calls for the duration of my cotract to my new iphone number?
