What's the best ISP to go for that doesn't need a landline? I have a phone line in my house, I just don't want any landlines with the internet package.

Are BE Broadband any good?

I think Virgin will be your only option, as all others require you to have a working phone phone line.

As above. From my research around 6 months ago (things may have changed) VM seemed to be the only one offering broadband only.

Currently on the 30Mb package. Speeds are good but it's worth mentioning that their Superhub they provide is the most god-awful piece of rubbish I have ever come across. The wireless is just pitiful and cuts out for no reason several times a day. I'd only reccomend if you have another router you could use - the Superhub works fine as a modem.

I don't mean to scare you off, it really is a pretty good service over all.

Barring niche players best option is Virgin, if you can't get that then you may need to look at mobile broadband (3 presumably being the only viable option due to usage caps).

Personally I would just pay the line rental for a landline given you don't need to pay the install fee, as this will open up the market to you.

Currently in a similar situation - don't want a landline as part of a package.. The place I'm at, at the mo use Xilo and will most likely use them again.
