As per title really, I've had a client ringing asking that she wishes to replace her current ISP (AOL) with a more reliable, faster service with good customer support. My feeling is that the latter requirement is going to be rather difficult.

What do you think ?

Pros and cons?

first of all it's worth checking if be* have unbundled the exchange. check here...

might also be worth checking sky llu if they subscribe to sky already.

if they only have the choice of a BT wholesale isp then you need to look at their usage requirements. if it's fairly low than look at idnet or newnet. for a larger allowance, their only real choice is an enta reseller. (that's not a bad thing - i'm with one myself. there are no other isps that actually offer a decent allowance without some very restrictive fair use/acceptable use policy. enta just have large fixed allowances with no FUP)
