best kit to use watching freeview on a pc

Anybody have any tried and tested recommendations for use either in vista 64 or xp? Thank you
Oh I should have mentioned I don't have an arial and so it would have to work with some kind of an indoor one and perha[s an amplifier to boost the signal.

The loft is a possibility I had not considered and I shall check out your other recommendations. Just need to find a good price for a freeview aerial. Thanks
