Best LAN Games for two computers

Hi i was wondering if y'all could recommend me some games i can play over lan with a mate, i only have two computers, so it will have to be games with bots or it would be a bit rubbish.

Preferably FPS Games

UT2k4 has pretty good bots and some 1 on 1 maps. Also I think you can play with only one copy over a lan provided that the server is set not to advertise or be accessible from the internet. Don't take my word on it, but I've seen some people say that it definitely does with the right settings.

Has to be Quake 3, nice and quick paced :cool:

Stick em' bots on nightmare and off ya go

Again you will only need 1 copy

sounds cool if you ony need 1 copy, ill try these tonight as i own both, ive just set up my first lan so iam giving it a go with a mate later.

Any big strategy game, red alert 1&2, starcraft, warhammer, age of empires. all fun on lan

I would have to say it would be an FPS for me, Counter strike, Raven shield, the new ghost recon is great fun also

sos for over taking the thread but can someone tell me how you do games via LAN with only one game? and also how i do a LAN game anyways; i have no clue on where i'd start?
