Hello!

As title really, gf wants a laptop, it's going to be mainly for the web plus some word etc, nothing too taxing but decent with a bit of longevity in it.

Thanks in advance.

I've recently purchased a dell 1525 laptop from the purple shirt place.

1.86ghz CPU
2gb ram
250gig hard drive
15.4" truelife screen
onboard video (intel)
Vista Home Premium

£445

Works a treat for internet / office / films and MP3.

I've just bought an Dell Inspiron 1525 with the following spec:

C2D T8300 2.4Ghz
3Gb Ram
250Gb Hdd
DVD-RW
15.4" 1680 x 1050 truelife screen
Bluetooth, HDMI, wireless, 2MP Webcam etc...

Cost me £510 with the Dell 15% off coupon. I'm sure it can't be beaten for the money.

I ordered it on the 11th of June and it arrive on the 4th of July, apparently they were short of batteries, luckily I wasn't in a rush. I've tried to spec the same laptop on the website and it comes out at over £650!! Which cheers me up slightly.
