would you choose a 15.4 inch screen over better battery life, i.e 640m over the 6400 with same spec hd's etc?

go for an ACER imho for price vs perfomance

lol dont make me laugh the reason why we need new laptop is that our acer just over 1 year old needs new mb, only same price as a new dell laptop!!!

EDIT actually in was wrong it was cheaper to get a dell laptop, £666 for new mb and £628 for dell
