I have a network of 6 pc's. 5 are just standard windows clients for browsing the net. I have one machine that Downloads from Newsgroups and torrents.
I have a 7th machine that is my Gateway. It is running pfSense. pfSense is great but its QOS is terrible from what I can see.
I would like the downloading machine to max the connection until someone is using one of the 5 pc's, for anything from skype, youtube, browsing, whatever. When someone is using the other machines I would like for the downloading machine to have the lowest possible priority so that when someone else is using the network they have full or close to full use of the adsl line.
So my question is which is the best linux router os available for this?. I have looked at untangle, clearos, zentyal. I would like to add that I dont want to pay big money. A free OS would be best.
Hope someone can chip in.
Thanks.
