best linux terminal software ???

just need to use a linux terminal software for about 5-6 machines maybe use putty to connect to a unix server just for stock processing etc ??? any help just wanting somthing cheap and managble to be able to continue to upgrade the current system as it seems to be full of faults......

I've not used it but you should be able to use it to connect to a linux/unix server automatically. all the work is then carryed out on the server, which mean yiou can use some p3 1gig boxes for the dumb terminals.
