Best local co-op game?

I regularly go round to my brother's house for some single screen local co-op and we need a new game to play. We've done to death the following: -

* Guitar hero 2
* Pro Evo
* Madden
* Sensi Soccer
* Cricket
* GoW

I was thinking about getting either Guitar Hero 3 or Army of Two as a stopgap until something better comes out, but although I know what we'll get with GH3 I'm not sure about Army of Two. I've heard the single player is a bit pants, but is it worth it for local co-op? Or is there something better to go for?

I meet up with a mate of mine once a week for some gaming and we have hit the following quite hard in terms of co-op's:

GRAW
GRAW 2
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
GOW

army of two is good for coop
i have only played it on my friends 360 but it is great fun if you liked GOW coop

i liked worms and bomberman from the xbla if they are your thing

also
rainbow six has a good coop terrorist hunt mode - im looking forward to getting vegas 2 this week - im expecting the new coop to be an improvement

Halo 3 has co-op,Guitar Hero 3 is good. Assault Heroes from XBLA is also good.

well on xbox 360 its split screen anayway, dont know about anything else.

A racing game? Maybe PGR4 or Burnout: Revenge?

Marvel or Lego Starwars would also be a good bet for coop shenanigans.

Then there's a few XBLA games (grab the demos to try them out): Boom boom rocket, Catan, Carcassonne, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 HD Remix, or even Rocketmen: Axis of Evil (quite liked the demo).

For sport, don't forget a good round of golf can be a blast ~ grab Tiger Woods 2008

Baldurs Gate games are a good laugh co-op as are the Marvel games.

Halo 3 as said is pretty good fun, as is Tiger Woods - good for banter while playing as it's nice and slow-paced.

Your going to the wrong one, mine has things like TVs, so its nice to pop in and use a remote control to turn up all the volume's on the TVs. Also "Spot the syrup", old ladies with wigs.

Although I finally decided on Army of Two and bizarrely enough, the only place I could get it was Sainsburys, which is *nearly* the Co-op.

A couple of mates have said to me that Army of Two is worth getting but i'm put off by its incredibly low reviews, 6.5/10 on GameSpot for example...

i know you can't put all your faith in reviews but GameSpot are always pretty spot on in my mind and even with a give or take of 1 it still aint all that good...

at the moment being a noobie to ps3 i'm only buying the best stuff so maybe i'll wait for a demo to come onto psn and make up my own mind...
