Any console system what in your opninion is the best looking game.

For me, i'd say either Burnout Paradise 2nd to that i'd say COD4...

Both run at a silky smooth 60fps... and the attention to graphical detail is just amazing..

I think all 35fps games look 'very' poor in comparision, with their jaggies and lack of smoothness.

I can't think of any better looking game on this generation of consoles.. Plenty on PC, but on console ???

i always think gears of war games are pretty aswell as fallout 3.

Uncharted
Wipeout HD
Metal Gear Solid 4

Killzone 2
Resident Evil 5

I think Uncharted looks pretty bland if you ask me. Maybe cos of the frame-rate... I'm always a little disapointed every time i fire up a game for the first time and discover it's only a jaggy 35fps game... 60fps looks so much nicer and the difference in smoothness is like night and day... Therefore EVERY 35fps game is written off for me as best looking console game..

Did forget about Wipeout HD... But being that you can only go in one direction and not a free roaming world, i still feel COD4 or Burnout top the charts.

eh? The human eye can't tell the difference between 35fps to 60fps.

lol ok.

Even though it's not out yet, Killzone 2 is easily the best looking console game so far this generation.

Project Gotham 3 or 4 (One of the best racing games I've ever seen)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Every little attention to detail)
Valkyrie Chronicles (Studio Ghibli-like waterpainting Anime artstyle)

The Human eye can't tell the difference anything over (or around) 60fps.

After spending years getting the frame rate up on Quake III on the PC there is a big difference. First person shooters are the most noticeable. Most people won't be able to tell the difference with something like C&C running at 35fps.

Humans don't have a limit on framerate difference perception as a species, some people find it much more apparent than others. One thing you'll notice, 30FPS vs. 60FPS is that background objects will be much easier to keep track of as they're moving a smaller distance every frame update. 30 will give the appearance of 'smoothness' to objects that aren't moving very far relatively.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has got to be the game that impressed me most.

Fallout 3 impressed me when you stand at high points on the map and see how far the rendering goes, that is amazing.

Resistance 2 for the shear awesome arcade-y-ness of the graphics, looked truely epic but on the other end of the scale to MGS4.
