I don't think MSFS looks all that. You have some nice landscape scenes, that's all. The 3D generated city is low res up close, and generic looking from afar since it's using satellite imagery rather than rendering in realtime etc. the plane models are very detailed but it's just a single plane on screem, nothing to shout about vs other games with dense vegetation, NPCs, action etc etc.
MSFS engine is also poorly optimised in that it realise heavily on single thread CPU power. There are many other more impressive games to show off visuals on.
Alan Wake 2 is good but it lacks proper colour grading. it's got a tinge to it that's trying too much to be like a hollywood movie, and everything is statics in the game world mostly.
AVATAR and Cyberpunk do dense scenic locations with immersive action better than most games out there.
For the Pixar-grade visual appeal and super optimised and smooth rendering, then Ratchet & Clank is well up there too.
