Best Low Budget Processor?

I am torn between 2 Processors:
AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 455 3.30GHz
AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.20GHz Black Edition

Which is best with Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard?

depends what you plan to use it for, but personally would chuck another £10 into the mix and get Phenom II X4 840, but thats just me!

yeah also why not consider a second hand Core II Quad, they are still better than Athlons and at least equal to Phenom IIs, plus they tend to overclock quite well.

It's being used for low end gaming, WoW and maybe CoD4.
