Best 'low noise' cpu fan replacement..

The stock fan that came with my Q6600 is a bear...sounds like Concorde taking off...going to have to replace it real soon...obviously want good cooling, but not at the expense of a high noise level...so, a compromise I guess...
Best options?

Bear in mind though, the ACF7Pro is be no means silent once the fan speed begins to ramp up. Anything much over 2k RPM is pretty noisy.

TT on lowest speed

i cant hear my PC, it's quieter than when I had watercooling

got a q6600 at a nice 3GHz, haven't pushed for more with toasty temps this summer

Thanks for the input guys.
I've only just got the mobo in...so I'm loathe to take everything out to fit the Tuniq.
I like the looks of the Artic Freezer though...the reviews are very positive too...goes to the top of my list.

If you'd rather not remove the motherboard, then the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is worth a look too.

I had not heard of the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 before. However, trawling through the reviews I see that the best cpu cooler for the 1st quarter of 2008 appears to be the OCZ Vendetta 2...even more food for thought...
