Im soon to upgrade to the 2500k and I want a decent cooler.

I currently have the Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro rev. 2, and it only just keeps my Phenom x3 710 cool (about 34 idle and 62 load [prime 95 for 1 hour with just the cpu fan on])....unless thats good?

I have the Xigmatek asgard case which is 19cm wide, after the fan and mobo are fitted, Im left with about 15cm of room.

Budget is about £40 and I dont mind new or used.

there are a lot of revies of that one on the net nearly picked up one today but went for a cheaper air cooler

from everything i have read its a nice cooler and better than the older coolermaster ones

your choices are limited to any of the all in one watercoolers except for the H100 (the one you chose is the one i would recommend out of all of them, unless you had £80 to spend on the cooler)

you also have the choice of any of those top fan coolers, but i have literally no idea what is good out of them.

or, you have the choice of a couple of the shorter tower coolers, like the gelid tranquillo (153mm tall) or the one i have, the Zalman CNPS9900MAX blue LED (or red LED). i would be surprised if they didnt fit as my case is even narrower than yours and it (just) fits

looking at the amount your willing to spend, i would either go for the antec 620 you are already looking at, or the zalman CNPS9900MAX.

*edit*
aha, finally found a review where both coolers are directly against each other. if you think it will fit, the zalman will be the slightly better option:

cheaper too at ££43.91 for either the blue LED or red LED version

Oooo I do like that zalman and it seems to kick the CM hyper 212+ in pretty much everything from reviews, although it doesnt say if its using a push/pull fan config.

I know Ive asked for this in respect to a 2500k, but whats the mounting like on an AMD socket? Does it point from front - back or bottom - top?
And also, whats the noise like? Ive read it can be a fairly noisy cooler at full whack?
