I am returning my Acer which has a black uniformity issue which is noticeable on dark backgrounds and it also had a kind of yellow tint but I fixed that with an old monitor settings profile but the uniformity is annoying.

Gsync 24" 1080p.

Oh yes I am very stressed out by this but my last monitor was TN .. A Samsung which I had for years with a perfect picture and colour.. I'd stick with it if it wasn't for my need for gsync and something bigger than 21 inches. I've heard that the aoc g2460pg has good uniformity at least so I might give that a try and if it is good I'll cover up that annoying green strip.

You can try to ask for a replacement and see if it will have the same complaints.
You can try to buy in a physical store where you see with your eyes what you are taking before paying for it and carrying it home.
Or you can try another brand - but the thing is that the problems are across all brands and models, not just the particular Acer 24" with Gsync.

I would buy a 4K monitor and hope that these pass more decent quality control.

I didn't like the yellow tint on this Acer I'm going to go into a store and have a look around, problem is most customer facing stores are d***s for accepting returns if I get a dodgey monitor, the predator looked excellent on my desk but I want to see others as well as there's got to be better than this.

Yellow tint - colour temp setting? Maybe it was too warm?

Yes I got rid of it but I want to see if there are better quality panels out there, I doubt ha.

This is what else I have noticed with this panel https://ibb.co/h9CXfH This looks pretty bad, it's an 8 bit panel. The colours circled on the mans coat move around with the video too or that's normal when watching videos online.

Too low video bitrate (aka too high lossy compression) causes that kind artifacts.
It always shows first in dark shades.
It's also common in digi-TV broadcasts at least here in Finland.

Oh okay, thank you very much for that response as I just thought that the monitor was completely trash for a second there, still returning it though!
