Best malware/virus scanner?

thanks....will give those a go

I only ask as had a strange problem of every .exe file bringing up a 'windows cannot find ****.exe, please make sure you have typed correctly'....google suggesting it could be a virus. Exact same as this guy...who had to buy a new HDD! https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/windows-cannot-find-on-everything-regedit-mbam/

I've done a fresh install of windows...hopefully it was something corrupt rather than the 'destruct virus'!

Malwarebytes is always reliable. Although, it does seem to prompt more than it used to to 'upgrade' to the pro version.

Premium malwarebytes is great if you have family who click on random stuff. Generally speaking though the built in Windows 10 one is fine with some common sense and not running as an admin constantly.

Baring that team it up with Malwarebytes and you are golden IMHO.

Common sense, ublock origin to prevent most things if you do get an infection adwcleaner and malwarebytes generally get rid of most.

Not had a virus in a long time, I don't go on any shady websites, However I have the free Avast one at the moment, Also have uBlock origin.
