as title in terms of features and clockability im i right in thinking its either the asus p5k-vm, p5e-vm or the gigabyte g33-d2sr ?

cheers

The DS2R.

I'm not 100% sure about the stability of the Asus boards. Seems to be a bit of a question mark over their SATA performance.

DS2R is still the best clocker then? might end up getting this cause its cheaper than the asus p5e although the p5k is £10 cheaper

don't bother with the asus p5e-vm hdmi, overpriced and crap hdmi support your better off with the ds2r board - cracking board & very stable.

Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R by miles, solid as a rock and is excellent value for money. onboard gfx are pertty good as well as they run Vista Aero Desktop perfectly

Would the DS2R make a great base with Vista Home Premium and an Antec Fusion case for a tv recorder?

(Already got 2GHZ core 2 duo, 4 GB DDR2, some 7200rmp spinpoint drives and a PCIE Compro E700 dual tv card - going to use onboard graphics as I dont need anything fancy)

changed my mind for a little more i can get a shuttle SX38P2 which should last me a good while as its an x38 it has pci-e 2.0 and 45nm qaud core support
