what TV Versity like for streaming HD Stuff?
It probably depends on how good your PC is for the transcoding, my E6300 @ 2.8GHz runs 720p without too much fuss, although sometimes stutters with slow panning scenes with a lot of light colours. Forget about 1080p though, maybe if you've got an uber PC it might be okay, but mine can't handle it at all.

doesnt seem to want to run my mkv files and the WMVHD i tried looked like the bitrate had been lwoered didnt look good

E6400, 2GB ram

The problem with the PS3 is you can't make it kick out 5.1 sound from any kind of source through the XMB. That alone makes it pretty useless to me.

It will be updated at some point but the 2.1 is pretty good anyway. Bear in mind 360 struggles with HD streaming compared to PS3 where i use tversity to do 1080p streaming. Blu Ray is another huge advantage.

I stream everything to the 36 just fine. Convert it to WMV first and you're laughing.

I'd love to use the PS3 instead, but until they get the sound sorted, I won't.

ps3 is great for the stuff it plays naitively, crap for the stuff it doesnt. with either machine, you need a pc on to play half of the stuff you might have. easier to just put a pc under the tv in the first place.

make no mistake, no console is an indeal solution to media playback.
