Best Media Player & Codecs?

im having major problem when running videos outside their native resolution, whether shrinking or scaling. the video quality is extremely poor

any ideas of a fix for this? im using media player classic and vista codec pack atm.

cant get sourround sound from that... excellent video quality though

if only i could get the sorround sound working.

any other suggestions?

play everything in vista32 or 64
even comes with mediaplayer classic

I installed Combined Community Codec Pack and media player classic

seems to play everything perfectly - mostly using FFDShow.
