Best Media player/recorder?

Don't really want to use Windows Media Player however i'm looking for a program that will do the following:-

1. Sync with my Zen MP3 player
2. Record music from CD's in MP3 format
3. Playlists, etc..

Free software suggestions? I'm aware of Winamp, anything else?

I've been using mediamonkey for years now.

I originally started using it because of the instant search feature though Winamp probably has the same thing by now.

Looks = Winamp.
Functionality = Mediamonkey.

Media Monkey looks a bit scabby but got to admit its a cracking tool.....like Tripnologist has said, Winamp looks pretty but MM wins for use.
