[Not sure whether this should be in Motherboards or Memory. Don't want to cross-post, so I'll put it in here as it's talking about a specific motherboard compatibility]

I've decided to retire my aging TwinMOS 3200 memory (2x512) and use it in another machine for backup purposes, as it really doesn't seem to like the DFI board unless I use really loose timings and high dividers, which means it's running at approximately DDR322.

So I'm thinking of getting some 2GB Mushkin Redline XP4000, and hopefully running it at DDR520 (ie. 1:1, as my Opteron 170 is currently clocked at 260Mhz)

Now, the questions :)

Is this memory known to work well with this board?

I seem to recall the different colors slots preferring differing types or memory, so would the orange or yellow slots be best?

What seems to be the best voltage to run this ram on to get the above frequency reliably?

Will they need a fan?

Would any other make of ram be more suitable?
