We're moving to a hosted platform soon and I need to figure out the best way to shift all the data onto the hosted platform.
All of our data currently resides on an in-house domain controller which i don't have administrative access to, as it's managed by our IT suppliers.
I'm planning to hook up an external HDD to create an initial copy, which will be couriered to the hosting company who will put it on their platform.
Let's say that happens on a Monday, and our migration happens on a Thursday, i'll need to get a delta, containing all the files that have changed between Monday and Thursday.
As the initial copy won't be easy to compare with (seeing as it'll be on a hosted platform, with no direct access and the HDD containing the copy will be at the data centre), what's the best way to identify and copy JUST the files mentioned above?
I don't particularly want to do anything as rudimentary as searching all files and selecting them based on their last-modified date!
