As title really. Purchased a new WD 500GB external USB 2 hardisk for backups.
Will probably go for 250gb for windows/common repository for movies/photos and the rest dedicated for linux - which is my work computer.
What are the options? OF course I can simply copy my home fold onto some partitioned space but is there also a way of doing a proper backup of the whole OS efficiently. What whould maybe be ideal is occasional images of the whole OS and more regular backups of just /home ... similar with windows.
And what are the best tools for partitioning?
