Best mobile broadband or tethering solution?

Right so I've just been informed that in this rehab centre I'm not allowed to use my phone or laptop etc outside of my room because of some nonsense about a previous patient face timing her family and someone complaining.

So I'm forced to tether to my phone, stuck between sessions I tend to stream a lot from Netflix or hit up YouTube which obviously is obviously going to slay my data. I'm currently a Giff Gaff customer and have been for a long time, but while their always on data goodybag is good for the first 6gbs in then restricts tethering and drastically throttles your speed between 8am and midnight.

I'm looking for another solution, preferably via tethering so I don't have to spend on equipment, I also don't want to get tied into a contract when I'm only going to need unlimited data for the next 3 to 5 weeks.

What do you guys suggest?

Ah well, first off you have to be a Virgin media customer already to get this deal.

It is the only mobile network in the whole of the united kingdom to give you unlimited tethering and the network is called virgin media mobile.

Have a look at this thread > https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/virgin-unlimited-sim-card.18826579/

But it is a 12 month contract, so if you are already a virgin media customer you can get the deal for £25 a month.

There is no other alternative for unlimited tethering as far as i can tell.

I think you don't want unlimited tethering so your stuck between giffgaff and three, three does not allow tethering on pay as you go only contract which is what you do not want.

However you do seem to want unlimited data though, is it okay if you only stick to your phone instead of tethering?

If yes then go with three pay as you go costing £35 for 30 days with all you can eat data which is unlimited for the phone only.
