Best Mobo / Cpu combo for £100

Hi all, just after the title really.

I want the best cpu/mobo combo I can get for under £100.

So far from looking around the web I can see a 3700+ and a basic NF4 mobo wold be my best choice.

However at a squeeze a P4 D805/820 can also fit into budget as will the celeron D356 (533/512k L2 cache) @ 3.33Ghz (seems a good buy)

I assume overall the athlon would be the best bet . . yes?! (havn't used intel for a while).

Please note I will look in the members market but I would prefer to buy new.

Rest of setup will be 7600GT / 1gb of PC3200 DDR ram/ 80gig HD.

Pc will be used mainly for BF1942 and work.

Any thoughts?!

I'd try and get a dual core of any kind and clock the nuts off it.

Don't worry, I have ordered a Celeron D 356 (3.33ghz, 533fsb, 512k L2 cache) and a Asrock Dual VSata (Won't say from where) as I don't need a dual core cpu and I have been reading around and the 356 seems to have got some decent reviews.

Plus it was cheap and that was the important thing for me.

(this celeron can be thought of as a 3,33ghz northwood B P4 which isn't too bad at all tbh).

I would have gone for a quicker A64 3700+ but tbh I wanted to mess about with a budget intel chip instead

That and I am only a casual pc gamer and will only be playing BF2142.
