Best MOBO for crossfire

hi all,

At the moment Im using the MSI Mpower Z77 and its great but Im adding a second
Asus 7970 matrix platinum and was wondering if my board will be ok with this

PCI 1 @ x16 and PCE 2 @ x 8

Will I benefit by getting a mobo which supports 2 PCI lanes at x16 or am I not really going to see that much in the way Fps,

From my understanding to get anything other than PCI-Ex8 in Xfire will require going to socket 2011 and the added cost of getting a new processor. I run crossfire on a Mpower Z77 board without any issue with the Motherboard.

The difference between dual x16 and dual x8 for crossfire/sli is so small youll barely notice it outside of benchmarks.
