The bundle will combined with an already owned Antec 900 case, Powercolour ATI HD 4830 OC graphics card, 1TB Western Caviar Black SATA III HD and an OCZ StealthXStream 600W PSU to form my rig.

The bundle is a present to myself for getting into computer science at uni. It'll also be used (mainly) for gaming and I plan to overclock.

With that budget and gaming in mind, wouldn't it be better to treat yourself to a new graphics card too? :)

Also welcome to the forum and congrats on getting into uni!

edit: Guess you'll also be needing a cooler if you want to overclock, if you want to keep it closer to the £500 budget with a cooler included you could switch the graphics card to this one:

and it would still be a decent upgrade.

This would be a decent cooler:

Thankyou for the links! Although I'd rather not upgrade my graphics card right now as I only purchased it a couple of months ago for £170 only for it to go on sale at ocuk £25 cheaper a month later :(

The £400-500 would be solely for a CPU/Mobo/RAM combo even considering my graphics may bottleneck my system's performance because I'd rather upgrade it incrementally and I'm stubborn and don't want to admit I was too stingey when buying the graphics card.

Also remove the competitor name/link, this forum is run by the overclockers guys and they don't like people talking about competitors (even if it's in a bad way). :)

That looks great! Which cpu cooler would you recommend for overclocking?

Thanks for the help, you've saved me a lot of time and hassle.
