Had enough of direct line.

You have to be 25 to do any mods to your car.

Anyone have any recommendations for whos decent and not to badly priced?

Looking at Mazda 3 2.0l sport.

With induction, lowered and tinted windows all wanting to get done in next month. And with possible other mods happening in the next year too.

I'm 22. 4 Years driving. 2 years no claims, 2 years named driver ( worthless away from directline i know)

I recently had this with my Escort RS was looking around for a quote getting around £3300 and though damn that's steep but remembered adrian flux from ages ago and they quoted me £1542 well happy that's with being 25 all mods and 6 points and no NCB :) Give them a go and see how you get on.

Watch out with Greenlight and possibly sky, just check the underwriter. Highway are supposed to be very very bad!

I'm with Brentace underwritten by Markus Study (spelling?)

No admin fee for extra mods, can add pretty much antyhing as long as I don't go over 220bhp (impossible with a DC2 :p)

Insured with Chris Knott here, plenty of mods on the ST all covered as like for like replacement.

Greenlight also gave me a very good quote.

Directline are expensive for any mods, even over 25. In terms of ones I've used then Adrian Flux though I've heard decent things about sky too.

As for modding a Mazda 3 2.0l sport why bother when a 3 mps provides a much better starting point for any mods?

I'm not modding modding. Its a day to day run car.

Tinted windows are for privacy, and to reduce the heat inside the car - leather seats are soo hot in the sun.

That's the badger :D

And a lot more than not, not jsut cosmetic mods. Can do remaps, suspension, brakes etc etc.

They do cover that but it will cost extra. Like I said Cosmetic mods are free but other things will cost extra which isnt a set price like some companies that charge you £150 for any mod

I'm with direct line also and under 25 and I'll soon be doing a few modifications so I'll be looking for a new insurance policy in a couple of months but how exactly does it work with insurance companies?

Say for instance I bought, fitted and declared some £150 aftermarket headlights and someone reverses into me smashing them and they admit liability etc do their insurance company recognise my modifications and do they generally source the same part or give me the value of them and how do they determine the value? What about more personal customised things such as I dunno extra gauges you've fitted or a unique paint job or something that are not just direct replacement parts like lights, exhausts etc.

Thanks in advance.

It depends entirely on your insurance company, best to phone them up and ask. Some companies do replace on a like for like basis.
