After a new PSU for no other reason other than i would like a modular. So if i was after one for the rig in my sig what would be the best. Was looking at the 750w Be Quiet! (now thats gone from ocuk :( ) or maybe the tagan 700w? Is there anything better than these? If not which one would be best.

I use the 750w version and its whisper quiet, oc stock the 750 which is described as modular, but i ordered mine elsewhere, also listed as modular but i received a non modular version, so i think oc's description could be wrong, still a great psu though:)

Yeah did briefly look at the zalman! Theres so many so hard to make a decision! Posted on here to see if there was a general consensus of the best psu but as i expected multiple ones coming through :p

Well that reviews done by techreport who have good reputation for getting things pretty much spot on, and the Zalman was one of runners up in its round up, the winner isnt modular thoguh so Id say the Zalmans your best bet

Yeah very good review shame they havn't reviewed the tagan or be quiet!. PC P&C looks to be the quietest and most efficient. But it isnt modular!

The thermaltake toughpower range are basically the same psu's as the corsair tx range, both made by channelwell tech, with the exception that the thermaltakes are availabe in a modular config.

I have to give me full marks to the BeQuiet!
I have the 1200w a fan controll unit reads its RPM at 1400 and can hardly hear it.
Had a TT Toughpower but was to loud.

hmmm was generally leaning towards the be quiet! dont know why but i just like the look of it and reviews etc!

BeQuiet came out on all that i had read RE top end PSU. i took what i read in the mags and went feet first, told the missus this is the E-Pimp cane and she handed her plastic money (mine in effect but her name, pffft)
