OCZ 700W ModXstream-Pro I am using one of these. I know Corsair do some very good ones too. (I am in no way saying this is the best) Mine cost £60 look around and you might find it cheaper.
Seasonic all the way as well, and I hope OC will stock them :S
When quality is bad, it doesn’t matter what is the price, the Value is still bad.
BUT when the quality is great, like the SeaSonic, then any movement on market price compared to MSRP is a winning situation for the end users and the Value score should be reviewed.....
Only getting back to check responses now (damn puppy!) so thanks for the advice guys.
Reason I'm asking is cos my dad is thinking of getting a new build and I was considering putting my current Corsair TX650W in that if he goes ahead with it, and replace it in my own build with a modular unit.
It's as good an excuse as any to convince myself to buy unnecessary equipment, and it'd save him a few quid for a good PSU that's less than 6 months old.
Lol... palming the "old man" off with the non modular unit. Take a tip... convince him first that the one you wish to "donate" is the latest model and your getting a sh***y one to replace yours...lol
Seasonic X-650, very high efficiency and without usual free fall drop from cliff at low loads, passive operation at low temperatures (/loads) and every single cable is modular.
