What monitor should I get? Originally I wasn't planning on getting a monitor as I was going to game on my 32" HD TV, but I can't organise my room in a way in which I could use the HD TV for both my computer and to watch TV. So, I've come to the conlcusion that I need to buy a monitor, but I don't know which one =( Can someone please help me? I've got £200 to spend, the bigger the better, but I would rather a smaller monitor which would play my games on better graphics. Main use: gaming. Secondary use: work, music, video. My GPU: Asus ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB @ 950MHz

I don't trust samsung too much... I've owned 2 monitors from samsung, and both of them have horrible backlight bleed... But I consider most samsung monitors as budget monitors, so can't complain much.

Anyways, my suggestion is if you're more bothered about quality than size then go for this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-032-DE&groupid=17&catid=949&subcat=

If you just want a big monitor with low-input lag, go for any of these monitors (they might be a bit over your budget.):
BenQ V2400W - I hate the stand on this monitor, and it can't be removed. This has 1:1 pixel mapping.
BenQ G2400WD/G2400W/G2400WA - make sure it has DVI connectivity, as I think not all of them have DVI connectivity.
Samsung 2443BW/2433BW - pretty much same monitor except for bezel + stand. 2443BW is more functional and more plain, and the 2433BW has more stylish bezel + stand, but can only tilt, and thats about it.
Dell E248WFP - not much to say about this one as there aren't any reviews, but from the reviews customers give, it seems to be a pretty good gaming monitor. So this one is pretty much a gamble, as you're gonna be paying a premium of around £250 but not too sure what you'd get.

Take a look at the Dell 2209WA. It has a really good picture as it is an E-IPS panel rather than the more common TN Film Panel.

Most people are going to recommend the 22" e-IPS panel Dell over anything else at £200, despite it being a smaller screen. If you're a quality of quantity type, go with the dell.

That dell just keeps cropping up on here lol.

I quite fancied the 24" iiyama 1080p one, think it's just over £200 though.

Dell's have high input lag, that's the problem with them.. Samsung's do have much lower input lag but i do agree that you can see some backlight bleed, i have it on mine.

Do you have the dell 2209wa with high input lag or have you just heard about it?

I have the dell and have read many articles about it - I can confirm that it's input lag is a no higher than any good TN panel.
