Can anyone suggest the best monitor for say under £600 for colour accuracy? Colour fidelity is the main feature required. 19" will probably do, but the bigger the better and the cheaper the better. I was thinking something like a Eizo Slimedge, but are there any hidden gems out there?

Best LCD...?

The LED-backlit Samsung XL20 was pretty damn good from what I recall with something like 110-120 (can't remember) % of RGB colour gamut and was colloquially identified as being much better than CCFL backlit displays.

I think it weighed in at about £700-ish, but has been spotted at £658. Expensive for the real estate, but by all accounts it's that much better.

No real benefit for gaming, however.

You may want to have a look at seeing if you can find a supplier with Dell 2007WFP screens in stock. IPS, 20", cheap and colour accurate!

How about a NEC Spectraview 1990.

Are you after an RGB or Adobe RGB colour accuracy?

Will bare those 2 options in mind. It will mainly be sRGB accuracy that im after, but the wider the gamut is the better. One thing to throw in there is that if there are any of these monitors with an editable LUT it would be ideal. If the profile has to be stored on the computer it will have to be re-profiled each time the computers are re-imaged. If I can edit the actual monitor LUT it will make life a lot easier. :)

Edit; Actually, extend that question;

What current monitors have editable LUTs?
