My current LCD monitor(an older generation IPS one) is starting to have some issues,so I am possibly looking for a new one over the next few months.

I am looking at something ideally around 24" to 25" in size. Image quality is my primary concern since I will be using LR for processing some of my D600 stuff and I will at some point buy a calibrator.

I also want a decent steady stand with at least height adjustments.

I also do game, mostly PS2 ATM,but I expect anything newer would be an upgrade TBH!!:p Freesync would be nice but I would expect I would need to spend more.

I have not massively kept upto date with monitors but is the Dell U2515H looks OK??

Any alternatives??

Well Cat, if you aren't buying for a few months I would suggest you come back again and ask at that time. There are new monitors due for release shortly from AOC and Samsung so there might be some better alternatives.

But saying all that, the Dell monitor is pretty good.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and what are these AOC and Samsung monitors you talk of,melmac??

Sorry Cat, didn't realise that you replied. AOC's and Samsung's new freesync monitors are coming soon.

I wasn't clear in my last post. What I meant was that new monitors are coming out all the time. If you aren't going to be purchasing for a few months then wait and decide at that time.

If you are purchasing now, then the Dell U2515H would probably be the best option.

Thanks. I will keep a watchout for the new monitors too.
