Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, mods please feel free to move.

I currently have a single 2k 144 Hz monitor and looking at my options to make dimming more immersive. I am looking at ultra wide, or 2/3 displays. I’m not really looking for a VR system as an alternative but would like to keep the depth of the setup as small as possible and move to a 4K monitor which I could downscale if needed. The 4K would also be used for coding.

what is everyone’s thoughts?

Ultra wide - 21:9 or 32:9.

I have a 4K monitor and broke a 3440x1440 monitor and the latter was better for simming.

Oops! Expensive mistake. Was the monitor quite Deep? Due to space constraints in the office I don't have a deep desk so really looking to have an optimal setup which will allow a wide FOV. I'm out really sold n Track ir and I have tried a Hp reverb g1. The IPD adjustment doesn't quite work for my eyes looking as the panel in the aircraft.

No, not deep. It was an Asus 34” monitor. I did, however, have it on a desk clamp stand and not the manufacturer’s stand.

Yes I have been thinking about a desk clamp. I'm currently using an asus monitor and the stand is quite intrusive. I guess that's part of the design style
