Best motherboard for RAID0 ?

NO you can't compare that piece of junk with ICH8R mate

I love the P5N-E SLi dearly, but the current implementation of NVRAID is exceptionally poor.

The P5B-E is good, also the Gigabyte DS4 or the Abit QuadGT. All are P965/ICH8R boards.

Of course, you really should be looking at an independent RAID card with it's own cache and processor for the best speed improvement. Most RAID 0 setup are not much quicker than a 16Mb cache Raptor truth be told. And tehy are not great for stability. Even the ICH8R is relatively unstable compared to a single disk.

WJA96 agreed the pc5n-e is a good clocker but I'm just not happy with its raid performance tbh.

I think I might try the DS3 I've been avoiding gigabyte for months cos I had a mobo fry up some cpus and VGA cards

Mine kept failing. I just bit the bullet and bought a 150Gb Raptor in the end. RAID is just too much messing about unless you buy the mega-pricey Adaptec/Promise add-in cards.

Just came back to this and think a buy to play impulse is on hold due to the pending new processors from Intel.

Going to sit it out till April the 22nd looks like the new E6320s / E6420s may be playful. (awaits WJA96s oc results :D ) maybe

And what about bearlake and ICH9/ddr3 mobos is this just a myth or will it be a long wait before they emerge ?
