Best Mouse Brands in 2024?

So obviously the shape of the mouse is hugely important, but with so many brands out there now I think it's easy enough to find one that will suit your own hand size and grip style.

However, not all brands are created equal in terms of build quality, customer care, software etc etc.

So who do you trust to give you a top tier mouse irrespective of shape??

I always come back to Logitech, their software is awful but frankly that's the case with every peripheral brand under the sun. I've tried so many different companies over the years and the MX518 will always be the best of all time for me.

I currently run a G402 as I find it better in the hand than the 502 variants, but they'd be a close second over any other company.

Bonus points to the fact they lasted longer than 6-12 months at that, unlike anything I've ever owned from Razer or other popular companies.

currently using a logitech g-pro wireless. i've exclusively used logitech since 2010 and have had zero problems, each mouse lasting about 5-6 years
(the OG G500, then G502, now G-pro wireless)

Always liked Logitech, I had the legendary MX518 for over a decade.

But when I decided to retire it (still worked perfectly, just felt a bit grubby) - I bought a Xtrfy M4 for about £50 and it was night an day better, tech has just moved on so much.

So if you're just looking for a simple wired honeycomb style mouse for about £50, with no faffy software and it it just works. I heartily reccomend Xtrfy. 4 years old now, feels exactly the way it did on day 1.

Another +1 for Logitech here, currently running a G502 lightspeed for my gaming PC (had a wired one and loved the shape so snapped up the lightspeed when I saw it on the MM) and an MX master for work (I love the side scroll wheel!). They also have a pretty good rep for CS (although not as good as it once was)

I had a Razer Copperhead many years ago (like 2009- 2014) which was pretty good, but the sensor eventually got a bit glitchy. Gigabyte M6900 after that (which was excellent for the £14 it cost!) and then a Razer Naga, which I didn't really get on with... Razer's quality seems to have fallen off a bit as I had a friend who had an OG deathadder for 10+ years, but bought the new one when that died and wasn't too happy with it.

The main thing I would look for if buying now would be something that can save settings to the mouse, to save running excess bloatware all the time (had an Asus KB that the software for was trash!)

I'm more about comfort than headshots these days, Logitech MX Master (2 I think?) is godly.
Yeah I'm not bothered about peak performance at all any more, MX master (not sure what version, possibly 2, it's the amazon branded one) is absolutely spot on for work purposes, for gaming though I really like the 502 as it fits my hand well and has buttons in the right places

Had many good logitech mice, the cheaper ones aren't good though. Using the shroud mouse atm I love that design, had the original one it was based on. Not a fan of the software, but the settings can be saved to the mouse and the software set to not run on startup, so rarely use it.

Had a razer mamba ages back, that was trash, fell apart pretty fast.

I have this and find the buttons far too sensitive, especially the right hand button. I end up holding a lot of tension in the back of my hand and fingers to try and avoid inadvertent clicks. I have tried wedging rubber band sections under the front of the button but they fall out after a while. I need to have another go at fixing them more solidly.

Not had that issue personally, maybe just a dodgy unit?
I can literally drag the mouse around my desk only touching the right button and not trigger it!

WLmouse, Endorfy etc are really good it seems going by reviews. They use the top quality Pixart sensors and Kailh switches with some even giving you the option to choose mechanical switches too as some prefer those. That and they're all crazy light, like under 50g.

So for gaming mice, it would be something from those sorts of brands, the prices are excellent too (except Finalmouse, they are stupid prices without justified reasons).

You could also check out Endgame, I've had the XM2we for ages and it's really comfy with a medium size suitable for claw or palm grip.

I'm now converted by grip tapes too, so if the mouse has custom cut grip tapes available either extra or in the box like many now do, then bonus.

I also recommend checking out the new Turtle Beach Burst II Air which is the new mouse released after they bought out Roccat. Seems to review really well, and is under 47g, and has wired+2.4GHz+bluetooth so can pair with multiple devices. If I was buying a mouse today then I'd be getting the Burst II Air. It's also under £100 so a bit of a bargain for the quality and features, and it comes with pre-cut grip tape as well as alternative skates.

I've used SteelSeries forever. I tried many mice back in 2011/2012 and none sat well with me until the SteelSeries Sensei. I used it for many years until the LMB started double clicking a few years ago. Replaced with a Sensei 310 which never quite felt right. I broke the cable by accidentally pulling it at the USB end and it loosened the cable inside just enough to ruin the connection if the cable was perfect.

I replaced that with a Sensei Ten and it feels perfect again, except the scroll wheel has started to register up/down when scrolling one way, or sometimes not at all so I'm not sure how I feel about their mouse quality anymore :(

I'm considering a Corsair Darkstar, but deep down I know I'll most likely just get a Rival 650...

Logitech seems to be very highly praised in my circles.

I am same, I always try something else, but end up coming back to Logitech. I have a G502x sitting idle though, and mainly use an MX Master purely because it feels so much better for work.

I WFH a lot so just being able to switch between pcs easily, is a huge bonus.
