So could anyone explain exactly why the MX815 is so masterful?

I use the Reaper Edge and it's a phenomenal mouse. You can pick one up for fourty quid.

There a few reasons, namely its extremely accurate - more so than my g9 even, its got the right number of buttons, it's manufactured by a company with probably the best customer sevice in the world and it has all this for <£25.

It is that good.

had my 518 6 years, never realised how good it was untill i tried to upgrade. IMO it beats the g500 and the CM sentinel advance because of the placement of the buttons, the shape (g500 feels bigger and heavier although almost the same) and in game it just seems to aim better.

Had a mx518 for a little while before i poured a drink over it, replaced it with a g5 which i think is even better.

Could easily recommend both though.

MX518 or the Death Adder. Both are about as good as you'll get for the money. In actual fact you could spend quite a bit more and not 'really' get any more benefits over the two mice listed above.

Anyone able to recommend a good wireless mouse in the £30-£40 price range?

I want to use it for gaming as well as for desktop use on my TV hence the wireless.

I really like the look of the Microsoft 7000 especially with it's charging pad/cradle but from the reviews it seems it is temperamental.

for the money the mx 518 is an amazingly good mouse which i would be more than happy to use if i didn't have my deathadder's (i love my deathadder so much that i got another one as a spare :) ).
