Best mouse for a Mac in 2023?

I'm thinking about getting a better mouse for my work Mac. At the moment I have both a magic mouse 2 and an old Logitech wired mouse which is horribly beaten up but basically comfortable and accurate.

The magic mouse is essentially unusable to me. Gestures are nice and all that but using it makes my wrist hurt after 15 minutes and its speed/accuracy is steaming rubbish irrespective of how I configure it and it's weirdly heavy/grippy for its size which makes it hard to make quick/precise movements which is important to me.

There's also the laptop trackpad which also gets some use. It's a pretty good trackpad but at the end of the day it's not as good as a pointer as a mouse.

Ideally I'd like something where I could at least map changing desktops and also getting to mission control to controls on the mouse. But otherwise I'm not really familiar with the state of play of how mice and macs play together so not sure where to start exactly.

If anyone's got any recommendations/relevant experiences/pointers (hah) it'd be appreciated!

I’ve been using a Logitech Master 3 for years. It’s comfortable and accurate with a few extra buttons in easy reach if you need them for mapping.

EDIT: also has Mac drivers
Sounds good but is it a requirement to install the drivers for the extra inputs? It's a corporate machine with, well, corporate security policies unfortunately. They don't mind peripherals but get a bit funny about unmanaged software installs.
