Best mouse for gaming?

It does, there's a problem with the lift off distance and the laser switching itself off. I'm a low sens player and when I tried lifting my mouse off the mat and replacing it'd take a split second to do anything. Added onto the fact that when you do place it back down it'll jump to the bottom right slightly. The sensor on it is just plain crap.

It's basically a wireless Deathadder with a few difference, most of them aren't good ones. I have both a Mamba and a Deathadder sitting here and there's a reason why I use the Deathadder for gaming and the Mamba just to impress my console buddies.

All in all, don't waste time/money on a Mamba, or any gaming mouse costing more than £40 or so. Most people that take games seriously stick to MX518/G400/Deathadder/Xai (Although the Xai has 5% hardware acceleration that can't be disabled).

I'm trying it on mine and it does not switch off - have they fixed the issue with some firmware?

Good Timing this post.

My trusted Copperhead had developed a LMB issue with it multi clicking. I finally had enough of it yesterday and hit it very hard (this is how i fixed my PS2 11 years ago. The technique sadly did not work on opening the mouse I had shattered the switch. So i removed the switch from one of the mouse buttons on the right side that i don't really use but it was far too fiddly to replace the inside switch contact on the LMB so it's useless now :(

I have been looking for a replacement and the deathadder respawn 3500dpi. It looks to have a very similar form factor to the copperhead (can someone confirm?) with bigger side buttons on the deathadder (which was my 1 issue on the copperhead)

Problem is i live 3 miles from the royal mail depot with no car so will pay extra for a saturday delivery so i have just justified to myself a upgrade and will get a water cooling block so i can clock my CPU and a cheap SSD.

What do you guys say about microsoft sidewinder x8, I'm able to get one sometime next week for £10 is it good enough for BF3? because of the wireless feature.

Not sure tbh, I'd hope so, mine may get a bit more use then! If you get ingame try a low sens then try swiping, replacing, swiping etc and there should be a slight delay. It shouldn't matter if you never lift the mouse up but I'm constantly picking it up so no use here.

If OP really wants a cheap Mamba then message me in trust. :P

The one YOU like the feel of the best.
<snip>

Agreed.

For me it's the SS ikari (laser) - the only mouse I've ever used that feels like it's not there.
No flashy lights, no gimmicks, simple high cpi/low cpi switch and thumb buttons, and probably the most comfortable shape I've experienced in a mouse.

And I've tried a lot of logitechs, razers, and microsoft mice.

I have the X5 (basically the wired version but with slightly different looks, same functions AFAIK) and it's a good sturdy mouse. I've never had any problems with it and only moved away because I wanted a wireless mouse.

Going from an old, worn Roccat mat to my Steelseries Qck+ made a huge difference. Tracking is perfect, surface is smooth and reliable whilst not too quick.

Best value out there for only a tenner aswell.

Cm Sentinel Advanced here, really enjoying it, my only gripe is the MMB is very stiff to push, other than that very comfortable

MX518 here as well, having previously used a Microsoft Habu which was very comfortable but developed a RMB double click issue which was annoying as I mostly play FPS's.
