Best mouse for gaming?

Loads said the Mamba in a thread I made like this a while back but I decided to go for the Roccat Kone and I love the mouse, it goes up to 6000 DPI, you can put weights in it to make it a little heavier and I find the buttons are perfect for my man sized hands.

Don't get the Mamba, it turns itself off if you lift it off the pad, so does Imperator.

Deathadders a great mouse, as is MX518/G400

No it doesn't...I'm using one at the moment...never experienced it turning itself off unless its left inactive, even then it turns itself back on instantly.

Anyway, generally the most popular on this forum are the Deathadder and the MX518, however I would urge you to try before you buy, I for instance love Razers mouse design and find the most of Logitechs to be too large, however thats me.

As above I have a Mamba and I've never had an issue with in in day to day use, it's solid, comfortable and wireless but you can switch it to wired in 2 seconds.

I was after a gaming mouse too some time ago, as I've been stuck with a generic ball mice which is 10 years old for ages.

I have 0 knowledge of gaming mice, so didn't know what make I had to go for. Budget played an important part too. I wanted to spend around 30 quid at max. Had been eyeing the Codemaster Inferno for some time, until OcUK removed it from their store. As others said, I've heard good stuff about the DeathAdder, and for a newie, I thought it would be a good choice.

Found a cheap one off the MM, with no box, manuals or disc, just the mouse, and i have to say I don't regret it.

Feels comfy, very responsive, and can go up to 3500dpi. Braided cable is long too, which is a plus. Also had the two buttons on the left which I wanted :D Defo reccomend it. A very good mouse imo.

The Steel Series Sensei looks sexy tbh, but its gonna be SO expensive :P But it looks nice :p

Mainly fps, i have an old logitech g5 at the moment, wondered if there was better out now.

The G500 is a solid laser mouse, similar to the G5, the G400 is a optical mouse, both are Logitech, the G400 is optical, better for FPS gaming though not as many features as the G500. It depends what kind of DPI you are going to be using, if you are happy with the shape, then those 2 are great for FPS gaming.

deathadder, soo good, 1600 dpi setting + 0.7 sense = no shake and perfect aim.

High sense is a lot of shake, and when your under pressure, you shake, worst thing is a shaky crosshair when your trying to clutch a 3v1 game.

Game is CSS btw.
