I have had my Everglide Titan for some time now and just got a G5 as my G7 started 'double clicking' again. :(

Problem is the G5 will stutter when i move it over the pad quickly. Very annoying. It works fine on my desk so is definitely the pad.

Can anyone recommend me a good gaming mouse mat for the G5? Have read that the plastic or steel pads are better than the cloth ones, so that said i'm looking at the following......

Steelpad 4D

Steelseries Experience I-2 Icemat

Steelseries SX

Many thanks

I also wondred about a Steelseries Experience I-2 Icemat but wasnt sure if it was okay for laser mice. According to steelseries.co.uk it is, but according to steelseries.com it isnt...

I have an icemat and its prefect, apart from cold mornings its bloody freezing! If its an old G5 you will need a firmware update so the mouse will work on the mat.

No its the new Rev 2 Only two weeks old. :)

Thanks for that, i would like the Qpad CT, had one before and loved it, but my G7's feet killed it by leaving 'shiny' bits in the middle of the mat and it make the G7 never 'go to sleep' which in turn stopped the screen saver too.. :(

Ah should be ok with the icemat then but incase it doesnt work (assuming you get it) there is a update for it :). Had my mouse and mat for 2 years and becuase its made of glass there is very little wear even after so long (I spend too much time on the computer).

I use an "Everglide Titan Fnatic" mat for my G5 laser, its absolutely massive and never gives me any problems, I always recommend that to others :)

steelseries SX all the way - it's a fantastic mat, and tbh improved my gaming more than switching mouse did :)

Well i've use a titan gamer for nearly a year, and it was fine with the G7 but the G5 skips or stutters every now and again, which is a shame as i like the titan, very nice pad.

It wouldn't be the mouse would it? :o

Mine's started doing that, you know they'll replace it with a G9 or a MX Revolution right?
No i didn't, what that just a case of emailing logitech or something? You couldn't point me in the right direction could you? :)

Anyone know if its okay with the G9 as well?

Also anyone with any experience of the Steelpad 5L, not sure I want my mouse to fly around as quickly as it might on an icemat or not.

Well i bit the bullet and got a new one, works perfectly on any of my pads, Titan, Qpad, Slicksteel even the cheap one, the lot. Very odd must have been a dodgy laser or connection or something.

I mailed their support to check this and the reply I got was, "Tell me which mouse your thinking about and which color I-2, then I'll try it out for you"

Now that's service. :)

I ordered mine today is that why they were out of stock for a couple on days and alittle price increase?
