Hey dudes;
im posting to inquire on what you think is the best mouse out at the moment.

Ive previously owned a Razer Deathadder and thought it was excellent. A little bit pricey, but well worth the money (I brought mine when they were ~£45). Had a small accident with the mouse though, and need to buy a new one.

Should I get another Deathadder,
or is there something better?

Many thanks in advance chaps.

I've had a few Razer mice, Diamondback, had terribly squeaky buttons, a common fault it seems that meant taking it all apart and sanding down under the buttons and the flawed Lachesis which had terrible cursor drifting and would often become sluggish needing a profile reset. One solution by Razer was to peel off the label around the sensor! So if you like to dismantle your mouse get a Razer.
Also, Razer mice seem very fussy about surfaces.

Just moved onto the Logitech G5 and it's a great improvement in precision but a DPI LED was faulty so that's gotta be exchanged, I have no luck with mice!

Seeing how expensive these mice can be I think Razer is over-rated overall.

Normally your advice would make me cautious, but judging by the thread, it seems you must have just had bad luck or something ;)
Though I do agree these damn rodents arent easy on the wallet.

My favourite is the MX1100 - its not exactly advertised as a gaming mouse - but it does it very well. It does not have an infinity-billion DPI like some - but I find 1600 on my 1920x1200 screen to be perfect. It feels very responsive and the scroll wheel has to be used to be believed. Overall - awesome.

Cool mouse, but im going for a wired option.

Judging from the thread responses, im going to opt for another Deathadder.
Cheers for the help guys.
