Insurance renewal time is here again and im looking for the best/cheapest multi bike policy for five bikes. I got my renewal from my current insurer (Carole Nash) and it was £100 more than last year! I then put my details in on the website and it was £40 cheaper than the renewal. Rang them up and they got it about £40 cheaper again but its still £20 more than last year even though I have another years no claims so would like to find another insurer. Any recommendations?

I've been with BikeSure for a few years now, they do a multi-bike policy. I haven't got one, but they will always price match for you and have beaten every other insurance company's price every year for me, by quite a lot (after price matching).

Their claims process was painless as well and I even got a helmet out of them despite not having kit cover :D

I can tell you who not to go to, Hastings Direct. Had two bikes with them, went to add another and they said they only allow two bikes on their multibike policy. I asked to swap them around.. "Sorry sir total value of bikes must not exceed £20k." So don't try to insure your Panigale and your £1500 daily hack, it won't cover them.. oh and don't have more than two bikes.. "Multibike" :o

Doesn't really make sense to me that a multibike policy costs any more than the most expensive to insure vehicle on there.

Surely if I have a bike on there that costs e.g. £500 a year fully comp, I should be able to add anything that's cheaper to insure for minimal or no cost? You can't ride more than one bike at a time after all.

But then that'd be far too generous of them I suppose!

They can both get stolen.

In Switzerland we can insure as many bikes as we want so long as you pay for the most expensive one. All you have to do is swap the license plate the bike you want to use.

doesnt that confuse the **** out of the police and get you pulled over all the time because the ANRP cameras are saying your plates are wrong?
